How to Create a Global Autoresponder

A global autoresponder lets you create an automatic message that is sent after someone texts your phone number (i.e. an after hours message).

You can create multiple global autoresponders to fit your needs.

1. Select "Autoresponders" on the left side of the TextSpot application under "Messages."

2. Select "Create Autoresponders."

3. Name your autoresponder, and make sure the autoresponder type is 'Global'.

4. Select the days and times you want the autoresponder to be scheduled. (The end time must be later than the start time. You cannot choose 5:00 pm - 8:00 am. You would have to create one for 5:00 pm - 11:59 pm and another for 12:00 am - 8:00 am.)

5. Create the message you want to be sent during the scheduled days and times.

6. Select "Save Autoresponder".

7. You will be redirected to your list of Autoresponders. The autoresponder you just created is active and is shown as active by a green status.

Your autoresponder is now active and will start responding to people who send you messages at the scheduled times.

8. To turn off an autoresponder, simply toggle the status. Inactive autoresponders are shown with a gray status.
