Getting Started With Templates

Templates save you time and allow you to create specific responses for different messaging scenarios.

Here is how to create and use a template:

  1. Go to "Templates" on the left side of the TextSpot app under "Messages."

  2. Select "Create Template."

  3. Name your template, and draft the message you want as your template.

This example is for a fictitious lawn care business named LawnSpot.

Notice that you can see what the message will look like under "Message Preview." You can also see how many credits this template will use at the bottom of the page.

  4. Once you are satisfied with the template, click on "Save."

You can now use this template when drafting/scheduling messages and with autoresponders.

To use it in a message, follow these steps:

  1. Go to "Dashboard" on the left side of the TextSpot app at the very top.

  2. Choose a contact(s) or list that you want to send a message to using a template.

  3. After you have decided on who you want to message, select "Use Template."

  4. A pop-up will appear with a drop-down menu of all of the templates you have created. Select the one you want to use and then click "Use Template."

  5. The template will now appear in the "Message" box. You can edit it accordingly. Once happy with your message, you can either schedule it or send it right away.
