How to Create a Trigger Word Autoresponder

A trigger word autoresponder lets you create an automatic message that is sent after someone sends a messages to you that includes the chosen trigger word.

You can create multiple autoresponders for different trigger words.

  1. Select "Autoresponders" on the left side of the TextSpot application under "Messages."

  2. Select "Create Autoresponders."

  3. Name your autoresponder, make sure the autoresponder type is "Trigger Word," and type the trigger word that will cause a response.

  4. Create the message you want to be sent after someone texts you the trigger word. You can see the preview on the right side of the TextSpot application.

  5. Select "Save Autoresponder".

  6. You will be redirected to your list of Autoresponders. You will notice that the autoresponder you created has an "Active" green status.

Your autoresponder is now active and will start responding to people who send you messages with the specified trigger word.

  7. To deactivate an autoresponder, simply toggle the "Status" to off. Any inactive autoresponders will have a gray status.
