How to Create a Keyword Autoresponders

A keyword autoresponder lets you create an automatic message that is sent after someone opts-in to one of your keywords.

You can create one autoresponder for each of the keywords you create.

Before setting up a keyword autoresponder you'll need to first create your associated keyword.

  1. Select "Autoresponders" on the left side of the TextSpot application under "Messages."

  2. Select "Create Autoresponders."

  3. Name your autoresponder, make sure the autoresponder type is "Keyword," type the keyword that will be responded to. (If you have not created any keyword, you will not be given the option to select a keyword from the drop-down menu)

  4. Create the message you want to be sent after someone opts-in. You can see the preview on the right side of the TextSpot application. (The opt-in message that someone first sees is a requirement for all SMS. Your message will appear after.)

  5. Select "Save Autoresponder".

  6. You will be redirected to your list of Autoresponders. You will notice that the autoresponder you just created is "Active."

Your autoresponder is now active and will start responding to people that opt-in to the selected keyword.

  7. To deactivate an Autoresponder, simply click the toggle button underneath status. Inactive Autoresponders have a gray status.
