Can I Customize My Sender Name?
When you send a message to your contacts, it comes from your TextSpot number, and not your organization's name.
If you want your organization's name to appear instead of the number, they'll need to save your contact information in their phone. Otherwise, it will just show as a regular number.
You could include a quick note in your first message asking them to save your contact.
Something like:
“Hi, this is [Your Organization's Name]. Save this number so you know it's us when I text you.”
If your messages are showing up with a "maybe: [name]" notification, it's likely a setting in the receiving contact's phone.
Occasionally, if a phone number is not saved in a person's contacts, their phone will look through their email. If it matches the phone number with a contact from their email, it will show them "Maybe:" with the name of the contact.
It may also be caused by one of the recent messages you sent, where you stated your name.
