How to Add a Privacy Policy to a Facebook Page
The Campaign Registry, the organization that approves A2P applications, requires most organizations to have a standalone working website or established Facebook Page.
Additionally, the Campaign Registry will look at your website/Facebook Page for a Privacy Policy to see if you disclose how phone numbers are managed.
Here is a link to the Privacy Policy language you can use.
There are a couple of options for adding a Privacy Policy to your Facebook Page.
As a Post
Copy the language in the Google Doc provided above. Yes, all of it.
Open Facebook and navigate to either the homepage or your account page.
Click on the text that says "What's on your mind?"
If on the homepage, it will be at the very top of the page.
If on your account page, it will be either beside or below the Intro section.
Paste the Privacy Policy language you copied earlier and select "Post."
After it is posted, click on the ellipsis (the three dots), in the upper right corner of the post.
Select "Pin." This will pin the post to the top of your page.
As a Link in the About Section
You need to be on a desktop for this option.
Navigate to your account page.
Go to your About section and select "Privacy and legal info."
Select "Add privacy policy link" and paste the link of the Google Doc we provided. Select "Save."
Once you have completed either of these options, LET US KNOW!
We will not know that the proper updates have been made if you do not tell us.
