What if I Am Not a Business or I Don’t Have an EIN?

If you’re not a business or don’t have an Employer Identification Number (EIN), you can still complete the A2P application process. Here’s what you need to know:
We’ll Register You as a Sole Proprietorship
When you don’t have an EIN, we’ll submit your application as a sole proprietorship.
Please note that registrations for sole proprietorships may take longer to review by The Campaign Registry.
How to Fill Out the A2P Application
In the EIN field of the A2P application, enter all 1’s (111-11-1111).
This step is necessary for applications without a traditional EIN.
In the Web Presence field, if you have a website, please enter your URL.
If you don't have a website, no problem. It is not a requirement for Sole proprietorships to have one.

As part of the registration process for sole proprietorships, you’ll receive a one-time text confirmation.
