Reasons a Text Failed
There are many reasons why a text may fail. Unfortunately, we are not always given direct answers about failed messages either.
Just know that when a message doesn't say delivered, it doesn't always mean failed. Get familiar with message statuses here.
Here are some of the reasons we have discovered that can cause a text to fail.
You may not be verified with wireless carriers. To get verified you will need to fill out an A2P application.

The contact's device is off, out of service, or the carrier doesn't provide delivery confirmation.
"Message could not be delivered to the recipient."
An increase in this specific error typically means traffic has been caught upstream in a spam filter.
You don't have a phone number assigned to your account. Pick one here: https://app.textspot.io/select-number
Your phone number has been disabled or deleted from your account. If this is the case, please contact support and we will be able to get your old number back.
You canceled your account but resubscribed.
When you cancel your account it also cancels your campaign status, so, unfortunately, when you resubscribe you will need to resubmit your campaign and get it approved again before you can send messages again.
The Reported Messages are failing because they were destined to a Prepaid mobile with insufficient funds, an invalid Postpaid number, or subscriber that opted out of SMS.
A wireless carrier network had an issue with their system that stores/tracks verified phone numbers and as a result it caused certain numbers to drop from their records even though they were approved.
You didn't use our link shortener when you sent a message including a link.
You had a failed payment for your TextSpot subscription. Update your payment information at app.textspot.io/user/billing.
You are trying to send cannabis content, which is not allowed to be sent over carrier networks.
